A Seneca Falls woman who was pulled over for driving erratically was found to be intoxicated. She also has a previous DWI conviction and was allegedly in possession of a large quantity of marijuana.
On Tuesday April 18th, 2017 at approximately 6:51 pm the Town of Seneca Falls Police Department arrested Patricia L. Carvalho, age 31, of Seneca Falls for Felony DWI, Felony DWI .08% or more, Criminal Possession of a Controlled substance in the 7th degree and Criminal Possession of marijuana in the fifth degree following a traffic stop on Veterans Bridge in the Town of Seneca Falls.
Police were dispatch to the area of West Bayard Street where it was reported that a vehicle was all over the road, almost hitting the curb multiple times. Officers located the vehicle and a traffic stop was performed. As a result of the stop, Carvalho was arrest for driving while intoxicated. Carvalho was charged with a felony as a result of having a previous DWI conviction in the preceding 10 years.
During the arrest and search of Carvalho, officers located a quantity of cocaine on her person. A search of Carvalho’s vehicle revealed a large quantity of marijuana. Carvalho was arraigned in the Town of Seneca Falls Court where she was remanded to the Seneca County Correctional Facility in lieu of $2,000 cash/ $4,000 bond.
Carvalho is scheduled to re-appear in the Town of Seneca Falls Court on 04/20/2017 at 9:30 am. The New York State Police K-9 assisted with the search of the motor vehicle.
