Two Seneca County residents, Zachary Keller of Romulus and Alexander LaQuitara of Waterloo received their GED diplomas in a ceremony at Finger Lakes Community College last Sunday.
Seventy-six students earned their general equivalency diploma, or GED, through Finger Lakes Community College during the 2011-12 academic year. The college recognized the students at a graduation ceremony Sunday, June 10, at the main campus.
Canandaigua Mayor Ellen Polimeni gave the keynote address and encouraged the graduates to be proud of what they had accomplished. “As you leave here today hold up your diploma. Let people know you scored. That piece of paper in your hands presents an opportunity – your chance!”
