GENERATIONS BANK TEAMING WITH COLLEGE ASSISTANCE PLUS® TO HELP PARENTS AND NEW GRADS PLAN FOR COLLEGE
New Bank Initiative Helps College-Bound Students Assess Choices, Save Money
With the classic graduation march “Pomp and Circumstance” echoing through high school auditoriums across the Finger Lakes during the next few weeks, many local graduates are already looking forward to attending college in the fall.
Unfortunately, while their families couldn’t be more proud, more than a few parents are also looking ahead with concern about how help their child make the right college choice – and worrying about how to pay for college in an era of skyrocketing college costs and tough economic times.
Recognizing the challenges that parents face in making wise and informed decisions regarding college selection and payment, Generations Bank has entered into a partnership with College Assistance Plus, a Honeoye Falls-based firm that helps parents obtain the best college education for their children for the least amount of money.
The partnership will enable Generations Bank to offer its customers access to College Assistance Plus’ proprietary academic and financial database of more than 2,500 colleges, financial aid consulting, application assistance, and educational workshops and seminars. College Assistance Plus services offered through Generations Bank will provide highly-personalized insight and long-term support that can significantly reduce student debt and make sure that parents leave no stone unturned in helping their children have the best – and most economical – college experience.
“The college selection process can be overwhelming and stressful for both parents and students,” says Menzo Case, president and CEO of Generations Bank. “This partnership provides our customers with unique access to College Assistance Plus experts who will get to know their specific family situation and develop a plan just for them. College Assistance Plus can compare colleges by analyzing financial aid packages, figuring out how to reduce college debt and helping families make these tough, but important, decisions. We encourage anyone interested in this exciting new service to stop in at any of our branches to learn more.”
