Five Star Bank Gifts Bikes to Deserving South Seneca Elementary Reading Goal Raffle Winners
Magician David Moreland headlined the annual end of the year South Seneca Summer Reading Kickoff program. Shannon O’Connor, Edith B. Ford Memorial Library Director in Ovid who highlighted their summer reading program, “Dream Big” followed Moreland after he entertained the student population weaving magic with inspirational summer reading tips.
The annual bike raffle, a highlight for each student that has met their reading goals each quarter, included bikes and helmets donated by Five Star Bank of Ovid, two anonymous teachers and the Elementary Student Council.
The deserving bike winners were Nikolas Wheeler (Kindergarten), Taylor Campbell (First grade), Joey Borst (2nd grade), Lucas Hooker (3rd grade), Lily Foust (4th grade) and Marissa Arnold (5th grade). Thank you Five Star Bank, teachers and student council for your generous donations! Many summer reading opportunities are happening this summer including programs for primary students, teens and adults at Lodi, Ovid, Interlaken libraries as well as at the Museum of the Earth.
