Sheriff Deputies responded to a one car motor vehicle accident on State Rte 5 and 20, near Seneca Lake State Park on June 28, 2012 at about 12:27 am.
Deputies report that Jamie L Egan Age 31 of 16 Norwood Ave Geneva NY was traveling west bound near the Park when she observed an item in the roadway. Egan swerved to avoid hitting the item and as she attempted to correct her vehicle she left the road and entered into the grass on the north side. The vehicle came to rest in some trees where the vehicle then caught fire.
Border City Fire Dept responded to the scene and extinguished the fire. North Seneca Ambulance also responded to check Egan for any injuries. Egan was treated for minor injuries and released at the scene.
