
The show was a family affair with five Jansen’s handling the back stage efforts. Left to right are Michael, set construction and lighting operator; Eric, Director; Paige, Stage crew; Dawn, Stage Manager and Joshua, technical director. They are joined by actors Carrie Massey and Stephen Beals. The production won seven TANYS awards.
The recent Seneca Community Players production of The Guys has won several awards from the Theatre Association of New York State (TANYS). The show was adjudicated last Saturday night. The production is a two-person show dealing with relationships in the aftermath of the horrors of 9/11. A fire company captain who has lost 8 men in the collapse of the Twin Towers and cannot face writing the eulogies he must give for his men, enlists the help of a war-seasoned writer. The play deals with how the two work through the process of honoring those who have fallen without losing themselves.
