Philomena Cammuso reads from a resolution from the New York State Senate honoring Sue Ellen and Peter Crego as they look on.
The Convention Days Committee honored Peter and Sue Ellen Crego with the 2012 Convention Days Community Service Award. The award presentation and reception took place at the Seneca Falls Historical Society, with several of the past recipients of the award present.
A citation from the New York State Senate was read by Convention Days President Philomena Cammuso. A plaque was presented to the Crego’s by last year’s award recipients, Jeb and Diana Becker.

Mason Ntuala and his mom, Leah, watch during the reception for the Crego’s. Ntuala is the pastor at the First Presbyterian Church of Seneca Falls where the Crego’s served for 25 years.
Peter and Sue Ellen have been active members and volunteers within the Seneca Falls community for thirty years. Over those years, they have shared their time and talents with organizations like the First Presbyterian Church, the Johnson Home, Rotary, the ARC, the American Red Cross, and more. Peter Crego served as President of CAUSE, a group founded to work against the establishment of a maximum security prison on the site of the former Eisenhower College. That campus now houses the New York Chiropractic College.
