Dr. Randall “Randy” Dale Bos, former superintendent of the Waterloo Central Schools from 1997-2005 passed away on Saturday, July 21, at Genesys Regional Medical Center in Grand Blanc, MI. Dr. Bos was 66 years old and living in Durand, MI at the time of his death. He is a native of Michigan and was born in Kalamazoo.
Randy was a teacher, principal and superintendent at a number of locations in Michigan. The last District in Michigan that he served as superintendent in was the Montabella School District. He then moved to New York where he was the superintendent of the Waterloo Central School District, and later the North Babylon Central School District on Long Island, retiring in 2007.
He was on the Board of Directors for the Shiawassee Humane Society and was a member of the Owosso Country Club. He enjoyed fishing and was a avid golfer and reader.
Dr. Bos is survived by his wife, Cindy Weber-Bos; son, Brent (Jamie) Bos of Kalamazoo; daughter, Tiffany (Craig) Brady of Gobles; 4 grandchildren: Caleb and Madison Brady, and Kennedy and Sydney Bos; brother, Larry (Grace) Bos of New Mexico and sister, Barb (Merritt) Herpst of Michigan.
