A roll-over accident on Bayard St. led to a Mercy flight to Upstate Medical Center for a Seneca Falls man. Benjamin M. Hackney, 21, of 238 Fall Street Seneca Falls was charged with DWI.
On July 16th, 2012 at approximately 5:45 am, Seneca Falls Police responded to a one-car personal injury motor vehicle accident in the area of 2858 East Bayard Street Ext. Seneca Falls..
On arrival, officers observed one vehicle rolled over off the road with Hackney still inside the vehicle. After conducting an investigation of the accident, Hackney was placed under arrest for Driving While Intoxicated. Mercy Flight flew Hackney to Upstate Medical Center in Syracuse New York for treatment of his injuries. Officers responded to Upstate Medical Center where Hackney was released on a uniform traffic ticket.
Hackney is to appear in Seneca Falls Town Court on July 26th, 2012 at 10:00 am to answer his charges. Hackney is currently still at Upstate Medical Center recovering from his injuries sustained in the accident.
