A Waterloo man was arrested by SFPD officers on multiple charges after being seen stealing items from the Salvation Army dumpster.
On August 1st 2012 at approximately 9:06pm Seneca Falls Police arrested Brian P. Mclaughlin age 47 of 33 Wycliffe Road Waterloo for two counts of petit larceny, two counts of 5th degree criminal possession of stolen property, and trespass.
Officers were called to the Salvation Army at 2109 State Route 5 for a report of a male driving a red Dodge pick-up truck stealing items from the dumpster. Officers observed a vehicle matching this description driving away from the scene.
Officers initiated a traffic stop of the vehicle on Balsley Road in the Town of Seneca Falls. The stolen property was located in the bed of the truck that was being driven by Mclaughlin.
Mclaughlin was arraigned in the Town of Junius Court and was released on his own recognizance. Mclaughlin is to appear in Seneca Falls Town Court on August 15th 2012 at 11:00am to answer his charges.
