A Seneca Falls man on parole had an altercation at Byrne Dairy in which he allegedly punched two people and then also punched a person who was restraining him.
On August 2nd 2012 at approximately 1:58am Seneca Falls Police arrested Ryan J. Smith age 26 of 206 Fall Street Seneca Falls for three counts of 2nd degree harassment.
While on patrol, officers observed a male running from a group of people near the Byrne Dairy. Officers interviewed the group of people who stated that Smith came up to their vehicle and punched two people inside the vehicle.
While another person tried to restrain Smith, he allegedly punched them as well. Smith was highly intoxicated when officers contacted him. The 911 Center advised officers during the incident that Smith is a New York State Parolee.
Smith was arraigned in Tyre Town Court in front of Justice Duffy. Smith was committed to the Seneca County Correctional Facility in lieu of $250 cash bail $500 bond.
Smith is to re-appear in Seneca Falls Town Court on August 2nd 2012 at 10:00am to answer his charges.
