A 57 year old Waterloo man was arrested by the Sheriff’s Department was soliciting a 14 year old for an “adult romantic type relationship” via texts and emails.
Seneca County Sheriff’s Office reports that on 08/03/2012 at 7:12 PM Sheriff’s Investigators arrested Guy C McIntyre, age 57, of 252 Border City Road, in the Town of Waterloo NY. McIntyre was charged with Endangering the Welfare of a Child.
It is alleged that starting in June 2012 and continuing through August 3rd 2012 McIntyre engaged in a course of conduct detrimental to the mental and moral welfare of a 14 year old female. McIntyre is accused of sending numerous inappropriate electronic text messages and e-mails to this child via her cell phone and I-pod.
These messages solicited an adult, romantic type relationship with said child and solicited this child to meet and correspond with McIntyre without parent’s knowledge. McIntyre was arrested upon the execution of a search warrant on McIntyre’s person at a Village of Waterloo public place.
McIntyre was arraigned in the Town of Fayette Court and Committed to the Seneca County Correctional Facility on $1500 cash, $3000 bond bail. The investigation is continuing.
