Pictured left to right are: Theresa Petrucci, Pete’s wife; Senator Mike Nozzolio; Pete Petrucci; and Pete’s brother, Jiggs Petrucci, also a combat veteran and American hero.
Anthony “Pete” Petrucci was recently honored with a special New York State flag that was flown over the State Capitol in recognition of his outstanding service to our Nation. Pete served in combat during World War II, where he saw hundreds of his fellow soldiers lose their lives on Omaha Beach and the Battle of the Bulge. The presentation was made by Senator Mike Nozzolio.
Pete to this day carries a photo of him with a fellow soldier who gave the ultimate sacrifice, and lost his life in one of those battles. Pete received the Presidential Citation on three different occasions and was awarded six battle stars for his bravery and courage under enemy fire.
