Family and friends may call at the Doran Funeral Home, 4 E. Bayard St, Seneca Falls, NY, from 4 to 7 PM on Friday (April 24). Alice’s Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday (April 25) at 10 AM at St. Patrick’s Church, Seneca Falls, with Reverend James Fennessy, Pastor, as Celebrant. Committal services will be held on Monday (April 27) at 9:30 AM at St. Columbkille Cemetery, Seneca Falls, NY. If desired, contributions may be made to Montezuma Fire Department, High St., Montezuma, NY 13117 or Montezuma V.F.W., 513 Erie St., Montezuma, NY 13117, or the Port Byron Fire Department Ambulance Fund, Route 31, Port Byron, NY 13140.
Alice was born in Conquest, NY on June 25, 1922 the daughter of the late Wilbur & Clarissa Stevens Burke. She had resided in the Port Byron-Montezuma area most of her life. She was retired from Port Byron Central School, Port Byron, NY, where she was Cook Manager. She had also been employed by the Holiday House on the New York State Thruway, Webster’s Dairy & ALCO, both of Auburn, NY. She had been a member of the Montezuma Senior Citizens & had been an active part of the Civil Defense in Montezuma, NY. She, also, had been a part of the 82nd Combat Engineers Reunions. She enjoyed crocheting, cooking, reading, word puzzles, stock car racing, but most of all, she enjoyed family. She loved to mow her lawn and watching birds.

3 sons – Thomas (Diane) Fitzsimmons – Port Byron, NY
Edward (Deborah) Fitzsimmons – Port Byron, NY
John (Darnell) Fitzsimmons – Waterloo, NY
7 grandchildren – Michael (Kim) Fitzsimmons, Linda (Dennis) Fitzsimmons, Courtney Fitzsimmons, Christine (David) Elliott, Michelle (Ronald) Fitzsimmons-Evener, Meagan Fitzsimmons, John Joseph Fitzsimmons.
