Family and friends may attend Gino’s Memorial Mass on Wednesday (June 10) at 9 AM at St. Patrick’s Church with Reverend Peter Bayer as celebrant. Burial will be in Sampson Veterans Cemetery at the convenience of the family. There will be no prior calling hours.

Gino was born in Seneca Falls, NY on January 16, 1927 the son of the late Augustus & Mary Turri Cologgi. He was a life resident of Seneca Falls and was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He was a graduate of Champlain College in Plattsburg, NY where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering. He was retired from General Electric of Clyde, NY and had previously been employed by Gould’s Pumps, Seneca Army Depot, Bausch & Loomb, Kodak where he had developed the manufacturing of the Lithium Battery, and had been a consultant for Bombardier of Auburn, NY.
He was a member of the Lt. Cyrus Garnsey Post 435 V.F.W. and the Kirk-Casey Post 366 American Legion, both of Seneca Falls. He was a member of the Seneca Falls Elks Lodge #992, the Seneca Falls Knights of Columbus Council #222, Rumseyville Sportsmen’s Club of Seneca Falls and a former member of the Seneca Falls Central School Board of Education. He had also served as a Boy Scout Leader. He enjoyed carving, creating many carvings for his family. His fondest memories were the years he and his family resided on the lake.

1 sister – Betty (Charles) Buttacavoli – Holbrook, NY
1 brother – Richard (Carol) Cologgi – Williamsburg, VA.
