Charmion Ina Allman age 67, daughter of the late Charmion B. Dinsmore & John Dinsmore of Varick, NY, and Robert Allman of Utica, NY, passed away on November 9th, 2014 in Houston Texas where she was living at the time.
Family and friends may attend committal services for Charmion on Thursday (June 25th, 2015) at Fayette Rural Cemetery, Route 414, Town of Fayette, NY at 12 noon. There will be no prior calling hours.
Charm, as known to her family and friends, graduated from Romulus Central School in 1965. She received her degree in Hotel Management in 1992 from Northeast Institute in Buffalo, NY. She volunteered with many organizations including the women’s Prison Ministry of Western New York, the Team Challenge Organization and St. Luke’s Mission in Buffalo, NY. She also was an active volunteer at Good Will & the AARP Foundation, both in Houston, Texas. She will be remembered for her diligent work in laying the groundwork for the Geneva Girls Athletic Association. From 2010 to 2013, as owner of Charm’s Delights, she generously donated 50% of every sale to Save the Children Organization; an organization she supported for several years prior to “adopting” 3 children in Africa.
She is survived by her children: Tinamarie Trotta, Michelle & Steven Hohl, Francis J Trotta III and Joseph Trotta. Charmion was a cherished grandmother of 11 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
