Waterloo – Alice “Sally” G. Deal, 92, a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother, passed away on Saturday (October 29, 2016) at Huntington Living Center.
Family and friends may attend Alice’s Mass of Christian Burial on Wednesday (November 2) at 10 AM at St. Mary’s Church in Waterloo with Reverend James Fennessy, Pastor, as celebrant. Burial will follow in St. Columbkille Cemetery, Seneca Falls. There will be no prior calling hours.
Alice was born in Waterloo, NY on September 21, 1924, the daughter of the late William & Anna Dwire O’Brien. She was a life resident of Waterloo and had attended William Smith College in Geneva as well as a business school in Rochester. She had been employed as a reading teacher and health aide for the Waterloo Central School District. Additionally, she had also worked at the State Bank of Seneca Falls & Patchen Real Estate of Waterloo. She was a faithful member of St. Mary’s Church in Waterloo and for years played bridge weekly with a group of special friends. Sally brought joy and happiness to everyone she’d encountered, especially her loving family and friends.
She is survived by: 1 daughter – Carol (Randy Pietkiewicz) Goodall – Seneca Falls, NY 1 son – John Deal – Florida, 2 grandchildren – Erin (James Goodrow) Goodall & Noah Goodall & several nieces and nephews –
In addition to her parents, Alice was predeceased by her husband of 68 years, Edward T. Deal. Her brother and sister-in-law, Richard and Clara O’Brien, & her sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Virginia and Gerald Lawson
The family would like to thank the 3rd floor staff at Huntington Living Center for the love and care they showed Alice and as well as her Shannon Drive family for always watching out for her.
