Seneca Falls – Anna D. Vergamini, 95, formerly of E. Bayard St., Seneca Falls, NY, passed away on Thursday (July 19, 2018) at Seneca Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Waterloo, NY.
Family and friends may call at the Doran Funeral Home, 4 E. Bayard St., Seneca Falls, on Sunday (July 22) from 3 PM to
6 PM. Anna’s Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday (July 23) at 10 AM at St. Patrick’s Church, Seneca Falls, with Reverend James Fennessy, Pastor, as celebrant. Burial will follow in St. Columbkille Cemetery, Seneca Falls, NY. In lieu of flowers, the family wishes contributions be made to Seneca Falls Historical Society, 55 Cayuga St., Seneca Falls, NY 13148.
Anna was born in Seneca Falls, NY on October 30, 1922 the daughter of the late Vincent & Rose Centola Delia. She was a life resident of Seneca Falls and was retired from the Seneca Falls Central Schools where she was Audio-Visual Director. She was a member of St. Patrick’s Church, Seneca Falls, the Seneca Falls Garden Club, & Seneca Falls Historical Society where she volunteered for 13 years. Anna was recognized by the National Women’s Hall of Fame on December 22, 2005. A page bearing her name is a permanent part of The Book of Lives and Legacies, a recognition she was very proud of.

Her husband, Louis J. “Chipper” Vergamini of Seneca Falls whom she married on November 15, 1947.

In addition to her parents, Anna was predeceased by her sister, Rose Bonetti who died in September 23, 1982 and her brother, Nicholas Delia who died August 25, 2014.
