Seneca Falls – Barbara J. Carissimi, 82, formerly of E. Bayard St., Seneca Falls, NY, died Friday (January 6, 2012) at Geneva General Hospital, Geneva, NY.

Family and friends may attend Barbara’s Memorial Mass on Thursday (January 12) at 10 AM at St. Patrick’ s Church, Seneca Falls with Reverend James Fennessy, Pastor, as celebrant.  Burial will follow in St. Columbkille Cemetery, Seneca Falls.  There will be no prior calling hours.  If desired, contribution may be made to St. Patrick’s Church, C/o St. Patrick’s Church Office, 25 Center St., Waterloo, NY  13165 or to the Beverly Animal Shelter, River Road, Waterloo, NY  13165.

Barbara was born in Seneca Falls, NY on October 5, 1929 the daughter of the late James and Florence Uticone Milella Sr.  She was a life resident of Seneca Falls and was retired from the former Matthews International, Seneca Falls, NY.  She was a member of St. Patrick’s Church and the Rumseyville Sportsman’s Club, both of Seneca Falls.  For many years, Barbara and her husband, Joe, spent their winters in Florida.

She is survived by:
3 sons – George (Judy) Chapelsky – Seneca Falls, NY
Gregory Chapelsky – Santa Clara, CA.
Glen Chapelsky – Santa Clara, CA.
1 granddaughter –Jackie (Jason) LaChapelle
1 brother –James (Cathy) Milella Jr. – Seneca Falls, NY
1 step-son – David (Mary Jane) Carissimi – St. Louis, Missouri
2 step grandchildren – Michael and Tracey Carissimi
Several nieces and nephews

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Joseph G. Carissimi, who died December 4, 2009
