Seneca Falls – David A. Moody, 55, of Oak St., Seneca Falls, NY, died unexpectedly Wednesday (November 27, 2013) at Geneva General Hospital, Geneva, NY.
Family and friends may call at the Doran Funeral Home, 4 E. Bayard St., Seneca Falls, on Wednesday (December 4) from 4 to 7 PM. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. If desired, contributions may be made to Beverly Animal Shelter, River Road, Waterloo, NY 13165.
David was born in Waterloo, NY on March 29, 1958 the son of the late Robert W. & Barbara J. Hill Moody. He was a life resident of Seneca Falls and had attended Mynderse Academy. David was a veteran of the U.S. Army and had worked for Gould’s Pumps of Seneca Falls. He was a former member of the Warner-VanRiper Post#435 American Legion, Waterloo, NY. David was a fun-loving man who loved to fish and experience the lake in his boat. He loved spending time with his family and could often be seen on the local level with one or more of his grandchildren.
He is survived by;
His wife, Susan Hannah Moody of Seneca Falls whom he married on March 21, 1981
1 daughter –Sandra (Matthew) Clark – Waterloo, NY
2 sons – Shawn (Crystal) Moody – Geneva, NY
Robert (Kristin) Moody – Waterloo, NY
7 grandchildren – Alexandria Moody, Michael & Noah Bonney, Teanna Monahan, Alex Patti, Maddison Clark & Brynn Moody.
1 sister – Deborah (Michael) Kelley – Waterloo, NY
His sisters-in-law – Kathy Moody – Seneca Falls, NY
Sandra Hannah – Waterloo, NY
Debra Hannah – Seneca Falls, NY
Linda (Floyd) Chadwick – Lyons, NY
1 step-brother – William (Pamela) Jones – Waterloo, NY
Several nieces and nephews
His special companions, his 2 dogs, Raven & Baron and his cat, Baby
In addition to his parents, David was predeceased by his 2 brothers, Robert “Biff” Moody who died in 1988 and his brother William “Billy” Moody who died in 2004, and his step-father, Donald Jones who died in 2010.
