Seneca Falls – Edward A. Healy Sr., 99, of State St., Seneca Falls, NY, died Tuesday (October 7, 2014) at his residence.
Funeral services for Ed will be held on Monday (October 13) at 9:15 AM at the Doran Funeral Home, 4 E. Bayard St., Seneca Falls and at 10 AM at St. Patrick’s Church, Seneca Falls, NY, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Reverend Roy Kiggins. Burial, with military honors, will follow in St. Columbkille Cemetery, Seneca Falls. Judge Healy was born in Brooklyn, NY on August 21, 1915 the son of the late Michael & Helen Whalen Healy. He served his country in the U.S. Army during World War II (27th division, European Theater), the Korean Conflict and the Vietnam War retiring from the U.S. Army as a Major after 23 years. He had resided in Seneca Falls since 1957 and spent winters in Englewood, Florida since 1991 until his health prevented his travel. He was a graduate of Cayuga Community College with an Associates Degree in Criminal Justice & a graduate of North American University of Salt Lake City, Utah where he earned his Bachelor of Science Degree in Criminal Justice.
He was retired from the Seneca Army Depot where he served as Provost Marshall (Captain). He also served as the Village Justice and Town Justice of Seneca Falls for many years. Judge Healy was a member of St. Patrick’s Church, Seneca Falls, the Kirk-Casey Post #366 American Legion of Seneca Falls, the Seneca Falls Knights of Columbus, Council #222, the Boy Scouts of America, Lt. Cyrus Garnsey Post #1323 V.F.W., Seneca Falls, NY, the Lake House Officers Club of the Seneca Army Depot, the Retired Officers Association, & the New York State Magistrates Association.
He is survived by:

He was predeceased by his wife, Helen Boyle Healy who died September 5, 2000, 2 daughters, Maureen Healy who died December 25, 2011 & Eileen Healy who died June 25, 2013, 1 son, Patrick Healy who died in 1982, and 2 brothers, William Healy and Francis Healy.
