Seneca Falls – Eleanor C. Ricci, 96, of Ovid St., Seneca Falls, NY, died Friday (August 15, 2014) at Geneva General Hospital, Geneva, NY.

Family and friends may attend Eleanor’s Mass of Christian Burial on Tuesday (August 19) at 10 AM at St. Patrick’s Church, Seneca Falls, NY with Reverend James Fennessy, Pastor, as Celebrant. Burial will be in St. Columbkille Cemetery, Seneca Falls. There will be no prior calling hours. If desired, contributions may be made to St. Patrick’s Church 97 W. Bayard St., Seneca Falls, NY 13148

Eleanor was born in Rochester, NY on July 6, 1918 the daughter of the late Natale & Christina Valla Barbi. She resided in Seneca Falls for most of her life. She was retired from the former W. T. Grant’s of Seneca Falls and had once been employed by the former Westcott Rule of Seneca Falls. She was a member of St. Patrick’s Church and the S.M.S. Auxiliary, both of Seneca Falls. Eleanor, over the years, loved to cook, shop and play Bocce.

She is survived by:
2 sons – Richard “Rich” (Nora) Ricci – Seneca Falls, NY
James Ricci – Seneca Falls, NY
3 grandchildren – Stephen (Lindsey) Ricci, Rebecca (Richard) Adrid, & James Ricci
4 great grandchildren – Michael & Elizabeth Ricci, Ethan & Camryn Adrid
Several nieces and nephews
In addition to her parents, Eleanor was predeceased by her husband Harold Ricci who died January 24, 1989 and 2 sisters. Mary Bellina & Margaret Magioncalda.
