Seneca Falls – Elizabeth L. “Betty” (Verzillo) Harding, 92, formerly of Shamrock Ave., Seneca Falls, NY, died Tuesday (February 24, 2015) at Huntington Living Center, Waterloo, NY.

Family and friends may call at the Doran Funeral Home, 4 E. Bayard St., Seneca Falls, NY on Saturday (February 28) from 11 AM to 1 PM followed by a funeral service at the funeral home at 1 PM with Reverend James Fennessy, Pastor of St. Patrick’s Church, Seneca Falls, officiating. Burial will be in the spring in St. Columbkille Cemetery, Seneca Falls. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Seneca Falls Historical Society, 55 Cayuga St., Seneca Falls, NY 13148.

Betty was born in Seneca Falls, NY on June 27, 1922 the daughter of the late Orazio Anthony & Lella Didio Verzillo. She was a life resident of Seneca Falls where she had been employed by the former Acme Markets. She, also, had worked for Woolworth’s & W. T. Grants, both of Seneca Falls. She was a member of St. Patrick’s Church, Seneca Falls and a former member of the Catholic Daughters of America. Betty loved spending time on ceramics, needlepoint & playing the game of Mah Jong.

Betty is survived by:
1 sister – Vita Mary Felice – Seneca Falls, NY
Several nieces and nephews
In addition to her parents, Betty was predeceased by her husband, Edward M. Harding who died July 3, 1999, her son, Wayne Harding who died July 21, 2014, & her brother, Vito Verzillo who died January 27, 2013.
