Seneca Falls – Florance P. Sullivan, 87, of Route 89, Seneca Falls, NY, died Friday (June 27, 2014) at F. F. Thompson Hospital, Canandaigua. NY.
Funeral services and burial in St. Columbkille Cemetery, Seneca Falls, NY will be held at the convenience of the family. There will be no prior calling hours. If desired, contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association, 6390 Fly Rd., 2nd Floor, Syracuse, NY 13057.
Florance was born in Nitro, West Virginia on November 25, 1926 the son of the late Arthur & Gabrielle Bellieul Sullivan. He had resided most of this life in Seneca Falls. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was retired from the former Seneca Army Depot where he was a quality inspector. He was a graduate of Wanakena Forestry School in Wanakena, NY. He was a member of St. Patrick’s Church, Seneca Falls. Florance was a passionate outdoorsman and a member of the Canoga Sportsman’s Club, Canoga, NY. He was an avid reader, especially of history and the civil war. He enjoyed carving wood decoys and crafting row boats. He was a great dog lover too.

2 daughters – Kathryn (Steven) Hilfiker – Clifton Springs, NY
Susan (Greg) Wall – Canandaigua, NY
1 son – Kevin (Susan) Sullivan – Jericho, Vermont
7 grandchildren – Ian & Maggie Sullivan, Stevanie & Andrew Hilfiker, David, Colin, & Quentin Wall.
He is also survived by several nieces and nephews
In addition to his parents, Florance was predeceased by his wife, Margaret Lynch Sullivan who died August 26, 1969, his son, David Sullivan who died December 24, 1976, 2 sisters, Gabrielle & Genevieve Sullivan, & 1 brother, Arthur Sullivan.
