Family and friends may attend Francis’s Mass of Christian Burial on Friday (May 27) at 10 AM at St. Patrick’s Church, Seneca Falls, with Reverend James Fennessy, Pastor, as celebrant. Burial, with military honors, will follow in St. Columbkille Cemetery, Seneca Falls. There will be no prior calling hours. If desired, contributions may be made to St. Francis/St. Clare Parish, 25 Center St., Waterloo, NY 13165.
Francis was born in Seneca Falls, NY on March 26, 1932 the son of the late Michael & Mary Caralla Turkett. He was a life resident of Seneca Falls and a veteran of the Korean Conflict serving in the U.S. Marine Corps. He was a retired police Sargent for the Seneca Falls Police Department. He was a member of St. Patrick’s Church, Seneca Falls.
He was past chairman of the Seneca Falls Town Republican Committee and past Republican Election Commissioner for Seneca County. He served the Town of Seneca Falls as Councilman. He was a member of the Kirk-Casey Post #366 American Legion, Seneca Falls, the Seneca Falls Elks Lodge #992, the Seneca Falls Knights of Columbus, Council #222, the Korean War Veterans, & the Marine Corps League.
He is survived by:
His wife, Frances Terrusi Turkett of Seneca Falls, whom he married on May 29, 1954.

Michael Turkett – Syracuse, NY
3 grandchildren – David (Amanda) Turkett, Brian Turkett, & Kaitlyn Turkett.
1 great granddaughter – Eva Turkett

1 brother – Alexander “Sammy” (Pat) Turkett – Syracuse, NY

In addition to his parents, Francis was predeceased by his daughter, Mary Lou Turkett who died February 20, 1975 and by 2 sisters, Betty Ann Bolich and Lois Turkett.
