Seneca Falls – Frederick W. Zink Jr., 63, of Gravel Road, Seneca Falls, NY, died Friday (May 2, 2014) at Clifton Springs Hospital, Clifton Springs, NY.

Family and friends may attend Fred’s Mass of Christian Burial on Friday (May 9) at 11 AM at St. Alphonsus Church, Auburn, NY with Reverend Louis Vasile, Pastor, as celebrant. Entombment will be in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Auburn, NY, at the convenience of the family. There will be no prior calling hours. If desired, contributions may be made to Finger Lakes Hematology and Oncology, 6 Ambulance Drive, Clifton Springs, NY 14452 for the benefit of patients in need.

Arrangements are under the direction of Doran Funeral Home, Seneca Falls, NY.

Fred was born in Auburn, NY on December 13, 1950 the son of the late Frederick W. & Elizabeth May Zink Sr. He had resided in Seneca Falls since 1978 coming from Auburn, NY. He was veteran of the U.S. Navy during the Viet Nam War. He was retired from the United States Postal Service where he was a Postal Clerk. He was a member of the American Modeling Association which is a radio control airplane organization. Fred enjoyed classic cars and the time he spent playing his guitar. He loved to putter in his favorite place, his garage.

He is survived by:
His wife, Diane Piraino Zink of Seneca Falls, whom he married on September 20, 1986.
