George W. Miller, 82, passed away Wednesday (October 29, 2014) at Huntington Living Center, Waterloo. There will be a celebration of life at a time to be announced.
George’s family request memorial contributions be directed to, Fayette Fire Department, P.O. Box 41, Fayette, New York 13065.
George was born in Geneva the son of the late Wesley and Viola Norton-Miller. Worked for Franklin Furniture as a Truck Driver and worked for forty years as an explosive expert for General Crushed Stone in Oaks Corners. He was a life member of the Fayette Volunteer Fire Department, donating fifty one years to the department.
He is survived by his loving and supporting wife of 50 years, Charm E. Tyman-Miller; a loving father to his 7 children, sons, George D. (Sharon) and Adelbert W. Miller; daughters Gloria (Jim) Foreman, Marilyn Hartzell, Karen McGhee by his first marriage; Dorothea A. (Robert) Halladay, Viola G. (Joseph) Chiarilli with Charm, and 23 grandchildren and 33 great-grandchildren and 6 great great grandkids.
George is preceded in death by his brothers and sister, 2 grandsons Jeffrey and Christopher and one great grandson Trenton.
