Seneca Falls/Englewood, Fl. – George William “Hoppy” Crelley – 90, passed away Sunday (January 13, 2013) at the Emeritus Assisted Living Home in Florida.
There will be no prior calling hours. Funeral services and burial, in St. Columbkille Cemetery, will be at the convenience of the family. Memorial contributions may be made to the Emeritus at River Oaks, 925 South River Road, Englewood, Florida 34223

Bill, as everyone knew him, was born on January 22, 1922, the son of the late George & Mary Crelley. He served his country during World War II in the Battle of the Bulge. After returning stateside he was employed through the Federal Postal Service and had multiple routes throughout the village of Seneca Falls and got to know just about everyone. After many years he retired and worked for St. Patrick’s School as a custodian until he finally really retired. He was a member of the Kirk-Casey Post #366 American Legion, Knights of Columbus, Council #222, & the Seneca Falls Elks Lodge #992. He enjoyed bowling and traveling and was a great dancer. He was predeceased by his first wife and love, Phyllis (Drumm) Crelley in 1989. He then reacquainted with a high school friend and later married Alice Kelsey. They relocated to Florida where they spent many years with family, friends & relatives that visited them.

1 daughter – Marianne (Kevin) Conley – Seneca Falls, NY
His grandchildren – Sara & Danielle Crelley, Tenneille (Eric) Brewer, Jed (Mary) Crelley, Matthew (Liliah) Crelley, Leah Crelley
His great grandchildren – Paige & Isabelle Brewer, Benjamin, Alex, Thea & Evan Crelley
He is also survived by his step-children:
Dr. David Kelsey, Eleanor (Dr. Raymond) Dolin, Paul Kelsey, Charles (Marie) Kelsey, & William Kelsey.
In addition to his parents and his first wife, Bill was predeceased by his sister, Margaret Capacci in 1996, his son, Patrick Crelley in 2004 and his great granddaughter, Corinne Crelley in 2012.
