Fayette – Gertrude K. “Trudy” Spano,  55, of State Route 414, Fayette, NY, died Saturday (June 29, 2013) at Geneva General Hospital, Geneva, NY.

Funeral services and burial will be at the convenience of the family.  There will be no prior calling hours.  If desired, contributions may be made to Liver Transplant Unit, c/o Strong Memorial Hospital, 601 Elmwood Ave., Rochester, NY  14642.

Trudy was born Seneca Falls, NY on June 19, 1958 the daughter of Cyrus & Patricia Sharpe Garnsey.  She had resided in the Fayette/Seneca Falls area all of her life and was a graduate of Mynderse Academy, Seneca Falls.

She is survived by her husband, John Spano of Fayette, NY, whom she married on October 22, 1976; a daughter, Tiffany (J.P.) Pigman, Waterloo; a son, Nathan (Becky) Spano, Seneca Falls; two grandchildren, Colleen & Patrice Pigman; a brother, Gus (B.J.) Garnsey, Seneca Falls; and several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her father, Cyrus Garnsey who died April 16, 1998.
