Seneca Falls - Helen M. Young, 63 of Bridge St. passed away April 26, 2012 at Geneva General Hospital following a long illness.  Private services will be held at the Sanderson-Moore Funeral Home, Inc. 32 State St. Seneca Falls with Pastoral Associate Lena Shipley of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church officiating.  Interment will be in Restvale Cemetery.

Born in Geneva the daughter of James and Mary Lou Noonen Welsh.  Helen lived all her life in the Seneca Falls area.  She graduated from Mynderse Academy class of 1966.  Helen was a receptionist/medical assistant for several offices in the area including Dr. William Simmonds in Seneca Falls.  She married Stewart J. Young on Jan. 26,  1968 and they just celebrated their 44th anniversary.  Helen loved to cook and enjoyed bicycling, cross country skiing and the great outdoors.

Surviving besides her loving husband Stewart are a daughter, Amy Irene (Robert) Lapp of Romulus and a son Bradley S. (Amanda) Young of Seneca Falls.  Four grandchildren: Aric Lapp, Emily Young, Thomas Lapp and Nicholas Lapp. Several nieces and nephews .
