Seneca Falls – Jean L. Olivier, 63, of Seneca Falls, passed away on Sunday (July 21, 2013) at home after a long and courageous battle with cancer.

A celebration of Jean’s life is being planned in Rhode Island. There will be no prior calling hours. If desired, contributions may be made to Pathway Home (Hospice House), P. O. Box 516, Seneca Falls, NY 13148.

Arrangements are under the direction of Doran Funeral Home, Seneca Falls, NY.

Jean was born in Providence, Rhode Island on January 25, 1950 the son of the late Richard & Mary Macabies Olivier. He had attended the Community College of Rhode Island. Rhode Island. He was a 3rd generation plasterer & former owner of Jean Olivier Plastering and Kent Plastering. He loved the outdoors, especially boating, fishing and camping in his home state of Rhode Island as well as the finger lakes region of New York where he retired to. Jean was avid New York Patriot’ Fan.

He was the beloved husband of Geri Blackburn Olivier of Seneca Falls for 28 years.
In addition to his wife, he leaves:
1 son – Robert J. (Lindsay) Olivier – North Kingstown, Rhode Island
1 daughter – Amanda M. (Brad) Parris – West Warwick, Rhode Island
1 brother – Mark Olivier – East Greenwich, Rhode Island
He was the proud “Papa” to his 2 grandsons, Chase Parris of West Warwick, Rhode Island & Cortland Olivier of North Kingstown, Rhode Island.
Jean loved his family which includes:
His sisters-in-law & brother-in-law – Lori & Mike Landi of Seneca Falls, NY 7 Kathy Blackburn of Warwick, Rhode Island
His many nieces and nephews
He also leaves behind, “the boys”, his 2 mini dachshunds, Franky and Clifford
He was predeceased by 1 sister, Louise Olivier and 1 brother, Peter Olivier
