Seneca Falls – Joann Giovannini, 77, of Tyler Ave., Seneca Falls, NY, died Monday (December 22, 2014) at her residence with her family at her side.

Family and friends may call at the Doran Funeral Home, 4 E. Bayard St., Seneca Falls, on Sunday (December 28) from 4 to 7 PM. Funeral services will be held on Monday (December 29) at 10 AM at the funeral home with Reverend James Fennessy, Pastor of St. Patrick’s Church, Seneca Falls. Burial will be in St. Columbkille Cemetery, Seneca Falls. If desired, contributions may be made to Lifetime Care Hospice, Newark Plaza, 800 W. Miller St., Newark, NY 14513.

Joann was born in Milesburg, PA. on January 16, 1937 the daughter of the late Charles & Isabelle Johnsonbaugh Lockhart. She had resided most of her life in Seneca Falls, NY and a spent some time in Biloxi, Mississippi. She and her late husband, Louis, had owned and operated the former Discount Video and Luigi’s Pizza in Seneca Falls. She was a member of St. Patrick’s Church, Seneca Falls and a member of both the Kirk-Casey Post #366 American Legion Auxiliary and the Lt. Cyrus Garnsey Post#1323 V.F.W. Auxiliary, both of Seneca Falls. Joann loved to gamble but most of all she loved the times she spent with her grandchildren.

She is survived by:
2 daughters – Cissy (William) Black – Waterloo, NY
Victoria McKean – Snowshoe, PA.
3 sons – Louis J. Giovannini Jr. – Seneca Falls, NY
Charles “Chuck” J. Giovannini – Seneca Falls, NY
Steven Bloom – Pine Grove Mills, PA.
10 Grandchildren – Louis III, Dawn, Andrea, Brian, Alyssa, Nicholas, Matthew, Katelyn, & Lindsey Giovannini, and Billy Black-Giovannini.
3 Great Grandchildren – Dominic Giovannini, Arianna Peasante, & Annabella Taft-Giovannnini
1 sister – Jean Henry – Julian, PA.
Several nieces and nephews
In addition to her parents, Joann was predeceased by her husband, Louis J. Giovannini Sr. who died April 19, 1999, 1 brother, Charles Lockhart, and her step-parents, Paul & Edith Kellerman.
