Friends and family are invited to call Tuesday (October 21) from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Mull Funeral Home, 113 Virginia Street, Waterloo. A memorial service will follow at the funeral home.
At Pam’s request; memorial contributions may be directed to a charity of one’s choice.
John was born April 26, 1954 in Waterloo, the son of the late Howard L. and Agnes M. Lucey-Bryan. He was a 1972 graduate of Waterloo High School and earned his associate degree from LaSalle College. John was a master mason and owned and operated, “Bryan Construction.” He was a mason instructor at Five Points Correctional Facility. John enjoyed sports; both playing and watching sports. In High school he played Basketball and baseball. He enjoyed the outside, camping and the open road riding his Harley. He and his wife, Pam, were members of the Jaycees and The Pro-Fun Party Tour.
He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Pam, whom he married on August 24, 1974; his siblings, Daniel (Christine) Bryan, Karen (Gary) Reynolds, Sharon (Peter) Griffith, Peggy (Stuart) MacWilliams, George (Linda) Bryan, Mary (David) Krasselt, Timothy (Teresa) Bryan, Ken (Kristen) Bryan, Arlene (Warren) Stamp and Joan (Alan Miracle) Bryan; his mother-in-law, Muriel Hickey; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews; one great-great niece and several cousins.
John is preceded in death by his father-in-law Charles Hickey.
