Seneca Falls – Joseph M. Zona Sr., 67, of Bridge St., Seneca Falls, NY, died Sunday (November 18, 20120 at Geneva General Hospital, Geneva, NY.

Family and friends may call at the Doran Funeral Home, 4 E. Bayard St., Seneca Falls, NY on Friday (November 23) from 5 – 7 PM. Funeral services will be held on Saturday (November 24) at 10 AM at the funeral home with Lena Shipley, Pastoral Associate at St. Mary’s Church, Waterloo, officiating.

Burial will be in St. Columbkille Cemetery, Seneca Falls at the convenience of the family. If desired, contributions may be made to the Kirk-Casey Post #366 American Legion Scholarship Fund, 48 State St., Seneca Falls, NY.

The Seneca Falls Honor Guard will conduct military honors at the funeral home on Friday evening at
7 PM.

Joe was born in Seneca Falls, NY on November 12, 1945 the son of the late Michael & Esterine Cupido Zona. He was a life resident of Seneca Falls and served in the U.S. Army during the Viet Nam War. He had attended the Ohio Technical Institute & was retired from the Seneca Army Depot where he was a machinist. He was a member of St. Patrick’s Church, the Kirk-Casey Post #366 American Legion, & the S.M.S., all of Seneca Falls.

He is survived by:
2 sons –Joseph Zona Jr. – Seneca Falls, NY
Michael (Kathleen Moriarity) Zona – Seneca Falls, NY
1 granddaughter – Gianna Zona
His twin brother – Nicholas Zona – Seneca Falls, NY
His sister – Mary (William) Morgan – Maine & Florida
