Seneca Falls – Joseph P. Avveduti Sr., 90, of 6 Hoag St., Seneca Falls, NY, passed away on Wednesday (January 17, 2018) at the Homestead in Penn Yan, NY.
Joe was born in Seneca Falls, NY on August 11, 1927, the son of the late Americo & Teresa Sorrepera Avveduti. He was a life resident of Seneca Falls and had served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He was retired from Gould’s Pumps of Seneca Falls. He was a member of St. Patrick’s Church, Seneca Falls, the S.M.S. of Seneca Falls, the Sons of Italy, Geneva, NY, & the Sampson Salts Naval Group of Romulus, NY.
Joe had been an avid golfer in his younger days and played the Trombone for the former S.M.S. band. He was a gifted handyman who always said, “If someone else can fix it or make it, I can do it too but it may take me a little longer.”

6 grandchildren – Leigh (Jon) Elkaim, Joseph (Gina) Avveduti III, David (Sydney) Avveduti, Layne & Reed Avveduti, & John Dec.
