Waterloo - Joyce Anita Buck, 82, of 54 W. Wright Ave., died Wednesday (June 6, 2012) at Geneva General Hospital.
Friends may call from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Tuesday (June 12) at Coe-Genung Funeral Home in Waterloo. The service will be 11 a.m. Wednesday (June 13) at Harvest Field Baptist Church, 4356 Rt. 414, Fayette. Rev. Floyd Marsh, pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery in Waterloo.

Joyce was born April 27, 1930 in Waterloo, the daughter of Levi J. and Elta A. Gable. She was a graduate of Romulus High School and a graduate of CCBI in Syracuse. She began employment at the Seneca Army Depot where she worked for a while. Leaving the depot she was employed as a bookkeeper at Patterer’s Greenhouse. After a few years, she went to work for the Waterloo Central School District as secretary for the guidance department at the Middle school. She later returned to the Seneca Army Depot where she was employed until the closing of the depot.
She was an active member of Waterloo Baptist Church for many years; having played the piano, teaching Sunday School and involved in many other church activities. She was very active in Youth for Christ. In recent years she was a member of Harvest Field Baptist Church in Fayette.
She is survived by her son, David L. Buck of Florida; her daughter, Dianne E. Turner of Florence, AZ, ten grandchildren, Beth, Kelly, Shawn, Krystal, Carley, Trisha, Ashleigh, Brandi, Chaz, and Brandon; eleven great-grandchildren; and her identical twin sister, Ruth Larsen of Geneva.
She was predeceased by her husband, Richard V. Buck, who died Sept. 25, 1996; one granddaughter, Stephanie A. Ragaglia, who died May 31, 1983; and one brother, Levi E. W. Gable.
