Seneca Falls – Kathryn “Kate” Bailey, 85, of Garden St., Seneca Falls, NY, died Monday (January 28, 2013) at Seneca Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Waterloo, NY.
Family and friends may attend Kate’s Memorial Mass on Wednesday (February 6) at 10 AM at St. Patrick’s Church, Seneca Falls with Reverend James Fennessy, Pastor, as celebrant. Burial will follow in St. Columbkille Cemetery, Seneca Falls. There will be no prior calling hours. If desired, contributions may be made to Pathway Home (Hospice House), P.O. Box 516, Seneca Falls, NY 13148.

Kate was born In Geneva, NY on November 2, 1927 the daughter of the late Carl & Frances Halpin Babcock. She was a life resident of Seneca Falls. She was retired from Newark Development Center, Newark, NY. She also had been employed by the former Westcott Rule of Seneca Falls and had been a greeter at Wal-Mart in Waterloo, NY. Kate was a member of St. Patrick’s Church, Seneca Falls & she had volunteered for many years for the Seneca County Democratic Party. In the late 1950’s she was a New York State Archery Champion. She was a former member of the Buckskin Bowman’s Archery Club in Waterloo, NY.
She is survived by:

James (Carol Langdon) Skinner – Geneva, NY
Jeffrey (Sue) Skinner – Malone, NY
7 grandchildren – Michael (Tracey) Skinner, Steve (Tammi) Skinner, Michelle (Thomas) Song, Josh (Tracy) Skinner, Sean (Emily) Skinner, Megan Skinner, Kailee (Christopher) Skinner
7 great grandchildren

Donna (Tony) Pavio – Seneca Falls, NY
Several nieces and nephews and friends Edie and Justine McPike.
In addition to her parents, Kate was predeceased by 2 brothers, John & Carl Babcock, and 6 sisters, Beatrice McCormick, Dorothy Eddington, Frances Tetor, Florence Kelsey, Betty Boles, & Phyllis Hickey.
