Seneca Falls – Lois M. Widell, 69, of Hoag St., Seneca Falls, NY, died, unexpectedly, Thursday (January 5, 2012) at her residence.
Family and friends may attend a Memorial Service for Lois on Monday evening (January 9) at 6 PM at the Doran Funeral Home, 4 E. Bayard St., Seneca Falls, NY, with Reverend James Fennessy, Pastor of St. Patrick’ s Church, Seneca Falls, officiating. Burial will be in St. Columbkille Cemetery, Seneca Falls, at the convenience of the family. There will be no prior calling hours. Lois was born in Seneca Falls on December 12, 1942 the daughter of the late Peter and Bruna Giovannetti Adami. She was a life resident of Seneca Falls and had graduated from Mynderse Academy of Seneca Falls and the former Freeman’s Business School of Geneva, NY. She was employed by the Town of Seneca Falls where she was an Administrative Assistant at the Recreation Center. It was there that she planned many of the public trips and excursions that the Recreation Center offered to the public. She was a member of St. Patrick’s Church, Seneca Falls and a member of the S.M.S. Auxiliary of Seneca Falls. She was very involved in the “Relay for Life” and had served, at one time, as Chairperson. Lois loved to shop.
