Seneca Falls – Louis A. Rapa, 92 of Sackett St., Seneca Falls, NY, passed away on Friday (August 25, 2017) at Geneva General Hospital, Geneva, NY.
Family and friends may attend Lou’s funeral service on Saturday (September 2) at 11 AM at Doran Funeral Home, 4 E. Bayard St., Seneca Falls with Reverend James Fennessy, Pastor of St. Patrick’s Church, Seneca Falls, officiating. Burial, with military honors, will follow in St. Columbkille Cemetery, Seneca Falls. Lou was born in Lawrence, MA. on August 6, 1925 the son of the late Anthony & Marie Petrella Rapa. He has resided in Seneca Falls for most of his life. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II & was in the Corps of Engineers. Lou was in the Battle of the Bulge and had served in the Army in France, Italy, & Germany. He was a graduate of Norwich University, Montpelier, VT with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering. He was a retired engineer for Xerox of Webster, NY. He, also, had worked for Sylvania, General Electric, & Seneca Army Depot. He was a member of St. Patrick’s Church, Seneca Falls, the S.M.S. & the Seneca Falls Elks Lodge#992. He was an avid New York Yankee fan and was a former golfer. Lou loved his time with his friends each morning for coffee at the S.M.S.

Luanne (Joseph) Pysnack – Seneca Falls, NY
1 son - Anthony (Rebecca) Rapa – Seneca Falls, NY
His grandchildren – Brian (Amy) Kelsey, Timothy (Sara) Kelsey, Joseph (Krista) Kelsey, Kevin (Vicky) Kelsey, & Louis & Jordan Rapa
5 great grandchildren
4 sisters – Sandra Bonaccorsi – Nashua, N.H.
Gerry Jenkins – Peabody, MA.
Thelma Hodges – Naples, FL.
Beverly (John) Faro – Danville, N.H.
Several nieces and nephews
In addition to his parents, Lou was predeceased by his wife, Anna Dragone Rapa who died November 2, 2006, his granddaughter, Heather A. Gaglianese who died January 22, 2011, & 2 sisters, Phyllis & Rita Rapa.
