Waterloo – Lucy Smith, 91, of Waterloo, formerly of Kentucky, died Thursday (March 29, 2012) at Seneca Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Waterloo, NY.

Family and friends may call at the Doran Funeral Home, 4 E. Bayard St., Seneca Falls, NY, on Wednesday (April 4) from 10 AM to 12 Noon followed by a burial service at Rose Cemetery, Town of Rose, NY. If desired, contributions may be made to the charity of one’s choice.

Lucy was born in Mildred, Kentucky on May 24, 1920 the daughter of the late Willie and Mary Campbell Murray. She had been residing in Waterloo since 2001, moving from Kentucky. Lucy was one who enjoyed her arts & crafts. Playing bingo and cards was a must with her during her stay at the nursing home.

She is survived by:
2 daughters – Lavonne Chadwick – Mesa, Arizona
Donna (Bruce) Lynd – Waterloo, NY
3 sons – Elmo Smith – Louisiana
Billie (Linda) Smith – Louisiana
Bobby Smith – Ohio
Several grandchildren and great grandchildren
In addition to her parents, Lucy was predeceased by her husband, William Smith who died December 23, 2002, 2 sons, Wayne and David Smith and 6 brothers and 5 sisters.
