Junius/ Waterloo - Mary Ann DeGaugh, 65, of 1233 State Route 318, died Saturday (February 18, 2012) at her home surrounded by her loving family and lifetime friend, Judy Matthews.
Friends may call Friday (Feb. 24) 2 p.m. - 4 p.m. at Coe-Genung Funeral Home in Waterloo. The funeral service will be 11 a.m. Saturday (Feb. 25), at the First Presbyterian Church of Waterloo. Rev. Sarah West, pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery in Waterloo at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 22718, Oklahoma City, OK 73123-1718.
Mary was born October 26, 1946 in Waterloo, the daughter of Harry A. and Janet Knapp Lindsay. At one time she drove taxi in Waterloo for Art Lapp. She worked at Kroger’s Grocery Store for many years. In 2006 she moved back to the Waterloo area to be near her family. She loved, owned, and cared for many birds.
She is survived by three daughters: Mary Jane (Dale) Cooper of Seneca Falls, Jody (Brandon) Solberg of Ruth, NV, and Renee Terrell of KY; four grandchildren: Christine’a Pace, Daniel Margraf Solberg, Jamie Solberg, and Breanna Solberg; three sisters: Betty J. (James) Wessig, Diane Maynard and Renee (Paul) Hennigan of Waterloo; many nieces, nephews and cousins; and her birds: Princess, Missy, and Pepper.
She was predeceased by her husband William H. DeGaugh Feb. 14, 1982; sister: Elsie Kerfien; and three brothers: Harry Lindsay, Robert Lindsay, Sr. and Gayle Lindsay.
