Waterloo - Mary Ann Dillon, 76, formerly of 30 W. Main St., died Sunday (May 27, 2012) at Geneva General Hospital.
In keeping with Mary’s wishes there will be no calling hours. The memorial service will be 7:00 p.m. Friday (June 1), at Coe-Genung Funeral Home in Waterloo. Lena Shipley, pastoral associate for St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Waterloo, will officiate. Burial will be in Southwick Cemetery in Junius at the family’s convenience.

Mary was born January 13, 1936 in Junius, the daughter of the late Richard S. and Esther H. Dawley Dillon. She loved concentrating her creativity in crafts, such as knitting, sewing, and gardening. She enjoyed playing cards in the evenings with her friends. She often participated in various activities and performances in plays at the Seneca County Office of the Aging. She was a bird-lover and raised them for most of her adult life in addition to loving dogs.
She is survived by one sister: Nancy (Daryl) Smith of Waterloo; one uncle: James (Shirley) Dawley of Tyre; nieces: Amy (Frederick) Klee of Phelps, Sara Reynolds of Farmington, Brenda Smith of Waterloo, and Denise Vreeland of Waterloo; nephews: Eric Reynolds of Rochester and Daryl Smith, Jr. of Waterloo and several cousins.
