Waterloo - Mary Louise Lathrop, 80, of 2609 Edwards Road, died Friday (March 30, 2012) at home.
Friends may call from 4 - 8 p.m. on Monday (April 2) at Coe-Genung Funeral Home in Waterloo. The funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday (April 3) at Waterloo United Methodist Church. Rev. Thomas Easttey, pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery in Waterloo.

Mary was born July 7, 1931 in Lyons, the daughter of Leland and Sarah Gay Perkins. She grew up in Phelps and graduated from Phelps High School. She worked for Ames Department Store for 13 years before working at Hallmark American Greeting Cards for ten years. She was a very active member of Waterloo United Methodist Church for more than 47 years.
She is survived by three sons, Michael J. (Debra) Lathrop, Jr. of Virginia Beach, VA, Daniel L. (Anna) Lathrop of Waterloo and Andrew C. Lathrop of Geneva; one daughter, Rebecca (Richard) Petrocci of Rochester; seven grandchildren, Â Thomas Brown, Kristopher (Amanda) Lathrop, Kyle Lathrop, Melissa (Mark) Offen, Michelle Petrocci, Randy Lathrop, Stephen Lathrop; several great-grandchildren; one sister: Katherine Lonneville, Statesville, NC; many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband on April 11, 2011, Michael J. “Mickey” Lathrop, Sr.; one son in November 16,1980, David J. Lathrop; one brother, Paul Perkins; and two sisters, Carol Vincent and Iona Perkins.
