Seneca Falls – Mary R. Fisher, 98, of Pleasant St., Seneca Falls, NY, died Friday (October 5, 2012) at Geneva General Hospital, Geneva, NY.
Family and friends may call at the Doran Funeral Home, 4 E. Bayard St., Seneca Falls, on Monday (October 8) from 4 – 7 PM. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday (October 9) at 10 AM at the funeral home with Reverend Roy Kiggins of St. Patrick’s Church, Seneca Falls, officiating. Burial will follow in St. Columbkille Cemetery, Seneca Falls. If desired, contributions may be made to St. Patrick’s Church, c/o St. Patrick’s Church Office, 25 Center St., Waterloo, NY 13165 or to the charity of one’s choice.
Mary was born in New York City on November 15, 1913 the daughter of the late Albert and Catherine Murray Rescorl. She had resided in Seneca Falls for most of her life. She was a graduate of St. Patrick’s School and Mynderse Academy, both of Seneca Falls. She was a graduate of Willard School of Nursing, Willard, NY and Bellevue Hospital School of Nursing in New York City. She was a registered nurse for Gould’s Pumps of Seneca Falls, retiring with 30 years of service. She was a member and past president of the Kirk-Casey Post #366 American Legion Auxiliary, Seneca Falls and a member and the first president of the Gould’s Pumps Quarter Century Club, Seneca Falls.

Several nieces and nephews
In addition to her parents, Mary was predeceased by her husband, Sterling P. Fisher who died in 1975, 3 brothers, William Rescorl who died in 1942, Edward Rescorl who died in 1996, and Albert Rescorl who died in 2006.
