Seneca Falls – MaryAnne C. Prosser, 73, of Mynderse St., Seneca Falls, NY, passed away peacefully Saturday (May 24, 2014) at Highland Hospital, Rochester, NY with her family at her side.

Family and friends may call at the Doran Funeral Home, 4 E. Bayard St., Seneca Falls, NY on Wednesday (May 28) from 4 to 7 PM. Funeral services will be held on Thursday (May 29) at 10 AM at the funeral home with Reverend James Fennessy, Pastor of St. Patrick’s Church, Seneca Falls, officiating. Burial will follow in Springbrook Cemetery, Seneca Falls. If desired, contributions may be made to Wilmont Cancer Center, 601 Elmwood Ave, Rochester, NY 14642 or to Beverly Animal Shelter, River Road, Waterloo, NY 13165.

MaryAnne was born in Auburn, NY on September 7, 1940 the daughter of the late Alex & Anne Giovannini Didio. She was a life resident of Seneca Falls and had attended Beauty School in Rochester, NY. She had, in her younger years, worked at her mother’s store, “Anne Didio Dress Shop” in Seneca Falls. She was a member of St. Patrick’s Church, Seneca Falls. She loved to dance and she enjoyed country music. She had supported the American Cancer Society over the years.. MaryAnne enjoyed the outdoors and the time she spent with her family. In years past, she had been involved with the Seneca Falls Elks Lodge #992 and the Kuneytown Sportsman’s Club.

She is survived by:
2 daughters – Debbie Stevers – Seneca Falls, NY
JoAnne Stevers – Seneca Falls, NY
1 son - James “Jimmer” (Kim) Stevers – Seneca Falls, NY
Her 4 grandsons – James, Ryan, Peyton, & Lucas Stevers
1 sister – Gloria (John) Paris – Seneca Falls, NY
1 brothers – Aldo (Anna) Giovannini – Jacksonville, FL.
Her long-time companion – Nick Hahn – Seneca Falls, NY
1 niece – Annie Orsene
2 nephews – Stephen & Greg Paris
Her dog, Riley
In addition to her parents, MaryAnne was predeceased by her husband, Harold Prosser
