Seneca Falls – Peter D. Swanson, 70, of Lower Lake Road, Seneca Falls, NY, died Friday December 2, at Living Center South, Geneva, NY.

Funeral services and burial in Willow – Dale Cemetery, Bradford, Pennsylvania, will be at the convenience of the family.  There will be no prior calling hours.

Arrangements are under the direction of Doran Funeral Home, Seneca Falls, NY.

Peter was born in Bradford, Pennsylvania on February 7, 1941 the son of the late Carl E. and Bernice Foster Swanson.  He was a graduate of Lehigh University, Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, with a Bachelor of Science Degree in International Relations.  He earned his MBA from Syracuse University and later earned an Associate’s Degree in Nursing from Cayuga Community College, Auburn, NY.  Peter served in the U.S. Army during the Viet Nam War.  He had resided in Seneca Falls since March of 1973.  He was retired from the former Philips-GTE of Seneca Falls where he was manager of Transportation and Physical Distribution.  He had been a member of Emanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church, Bradford, Pennsylvania and in 1958 was an American Field Exchange Student to Norway.

Peter is survived by:

2 brothers – Keith V. Swanson – Bonita Springs, Florida
Jack A. Swanson – Bradford, Pennsylvania
4 nephews and 1 niece

In addition to his parents, Peter was predeceased by his wife, Mollie Ann Morgan Swanson who died June 28, 1968.
