Seneca Falls – Phillip J. “Benny” Longo Sr., 86, formerly of Van Rensslaer St., Seneca Falls, NY, died Wednesday (February 19, 2014) at Seneca Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Waterloo, NY.

A graveside service, under the direction of Doran Funeral Home, Seneca Falls, NY will be held in the spring at Springbrook Cemetery, Seneca Falls, NY. There will be no prior calling hours. If desired, contributions may be made to the charity of one’s choice.

Benny was born in Geneva, NY on December 18, 1927 the son of the late Vincent and Maria Longo. He had resided in Seneca Falls since 1986, moving from Auburn, NY. He was retired from Delrempo Construction Co. of Elmira, NY. He was a member of St. Patrick’s Church, Seneca Falls and had been very active in his construction union over the years.

Benny is survived by;
1 son – Phillip J. Longo Jr. – Lake Wood, Colorado
2 grandchildren – Joanne & Joseph
Several great grandchildren
Several nieces and nephews
In addition to his parents, Benny was predeceased by his wife, Barbara DelSanto Longo who died January 18, 2009, 1 son, Joseph Longo, 2 brothers, Albert & Joseph Longo, & 2 sisters, Gert Charles & Mary Mancini.
