Waterloo – Richard “Dick” J. McKenna, 76, of County House Road, Waterloo, NY, died Monday (February 16, 2015) at Geneva General Hospital, Geneva, NY.
Family and friends may call at the Doran Funeral Home, 30 Center St., Waterloo, NY on Friday (February 20) from 4 – 7 PM. Dick’s Memorial Mass will be held on Saturday (February 21) at 10 AM at St. Mary’s Church, Waterloo, NY with Reverend James Fennnessy as Celebrant. Dick was born in Potsdam, NY on September 22, 1938 the son of the late Leo & Frances MacKey McKenna. He has resided in Waterloo for most of his life. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and was retired from Agway of Geneva, NY. He was a member of St. Mary’s Church, Waterloo, NY. In addition, Dick was life member and past commander of the Warner-VanRiper American Legion Post #435, Waterloo, NY. He was a life member of the Waterloo Memorial Post #6433 VFW. He was an avid sports fan who enjoyed watching the New York Yankees, the Buffalo Bills, the New York Giants and S.U. basketball.
He is survived by:
1 son – Brian (Melinda) McKenna – St. Petersburg, Florida
2 daughters – Tricia (Stephen Principio) McKenna – Geneva, NY
Michele (Scott) Cronberger – Waterloo, NY
6 grandchildren – Steven & Heather Powell, Michael & Nicholas King, McKenna & Brianna Cronberger.
His companion, Connie McGuane of Waterloo, NY , Connie’s son, Shaun (Sandy) McGuane, & her grandchildren, Molly & Patrick McGuane.
3 brothers – Donald (Anna) McKenna – Canton, NY
Gerald (Shirley) McKenna – Potsdam, NY
Laurence (Mickey) McKenna – Norwood, NY

In addition to his parents, Richard was predeceased by 1 brother, John “Bernard” McKenna who died in 1996.
