Richard M. Burdett, 78, formerly of Rumsey St., Seneca Falls, NY, died Thursday (May 9, 2013) at the home of his daughter in Tewksbury, MA.

Committal services for Richard will be held at a later date and time to be announced at St. Columbkille Cemetery, Seneca Falls, NY. There will be no prior calling hours.

Arrangements are under the direction of Doran Funeral Home, Seneca Falls, NY.

Richard was born in Spokane, Washington on November 22, 1934 the son of the late Jesse & Mary Welborn Burdett. He was veteran of the U.S. Army and was retired from Gould’s Pumps of Seneca Falls. He was an avid skeet and trap shooter and a member of the Buckhorn Sportsman’s Club of Waterloo, NY and the MacDougal Sportsman’s Club of MacDougall, NY.

He is survived by:
1 daughter – Julie Burdett of Massachusetts
1 son – Richard Burdett Jr. – Florida
1 sister – Virginia Burdett – Oklahoma
Several nieces and nephews
In addition to his parents, Richard was predeceased by his wife, Philomena “DeeDee” Bonacci Burdett who died October 29, 2008, and 1 brother, Jesse Burdett.
