Seneca Falls – Ronald G. Egan, 71, of Stevenson St., Seneca Falls, NY, died Sunday (July 7, 2013) at his residence.
Family and friends may call at the Doran Funeral Home, 4 E. Bayard St., Seneca Falls, NY, on Thursday (July 11) from 4 – 7 PM. Funeral services will be held on Friday (July 12) at 10 AM at the funeral home with Lena Shipley, Pastoral Associate of St. Mary’s Church, Waterloo, NY, officiating. Burial will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery, Waterloo, NY . If desired, contributions may be made to Pathway Home (Hospice Home), P. O. Box 516, Seneca Falls, NY 13148 or to the animal shelter of one’s choice.
Ron was born in Canandaigua, NY on July 25, 1941 the son of the late William & Irene Woodhams Egan. He had resided most of his life in Seneca Falls. He was retired from Gould’s Pumps of Seneca Falls with 36 years of service. After his retirement from Gould’s, he worked at Seneca-Cayuga ARC at the Cayuga St. residence. He was a member of the Apple Knockers Drum & Bugle Corps of Geneva, NY and had served as their business manager. He was a former member of the Seneca Falls Elks Lodge #992. Ron loved to attend the drum corps competitions. He really enjoyed his camping, traveling, & fishing trips. He was considered a civil war buff and loved the classic movies. He also was a huge fan of the New York Yankees, the Dallas Cowboys, & Notre Dame Football.
